The CACPT Western Chapter is pleased to present the first workshop in Edmonton, Alberta. The theme will be on Infill Development and will include knowledgeable guest speakers, immediately followed by a social at Craft Beer Market.

1. 1:00pm – 1:15 Welcome, CACPT Presentation
2. 1:15pm – 2:30 Presentation #1 – City of Edmonton – 1.25 hours
Christopher Wilcott – Chris works as a Principal Planner in the City of Edmonton’s Zoning Bylaw Implementation Unit and has worked on several infill projects including rezoning and subdivision applications. Currently, Chris is working on a review of Edmonton’s Mature Neighbourhood Overlay regulation. In the past, he worked for Mackenzie County in northern Alberta as a Development Officer and Planner.
Trevor Illingworth MCIP, RPP – Trevor has been with the City of Edmonton for two years and is currently a Principal Planner with the Residential Development Approvals team, dealing specifically with the review of residential infill development. Prior to coming to Edmonton, Trevor worked as a Planner with the City of Ottawa for four years, splitting time between development review and Zoning Bylaw amendments.

4. 3:00pm – 4:00 Presentation #2 – Stantec Consulting – 1.0 hour
Nancy MacDonald BA, MCIP, RPP – Nancy is a professional urban planner with over 15 years of planning experience within the Edmonton Capital Region area. She offers a diverse range of planning expertise, including master planned communities, mixed-use infill redevelopment, campus planning, due diligence assessments and land development. Nancy has provided strategic input and advice, and has led multidisciplinary teams in the planning and delivery of large, complex, and highly political projects.

The World Trade Centre is located on the north east corner of Jasper Avenue & 100 Street NW. The East entrance of the Central LRT Station is located across the street from the World Trade Centre on Jasper Avenue, and serves many bus connections.
