I would like to introduce myself.
My name is George T. Zajac and as of today, May 27th, 2013, I am the Association’s newly appointed Executive Director.
By way of background, I have been a part of our industry for the last fifteen years and I have been a past CACPT Council member, as well as a past Conference co-chair. I am a full member of the Association, as well as a full member within the Canadian Institute of Planners and Ontario Professional Planners Institute.
I would first like to thank my predecessor, Ms. Diane LeBreton. Diane has been relentless and diligent within this position since she started and her efforts have not gone unnoticed. Diane has given so much of her time and skill to this Association and has kept the ship afloat over some rough waters. I applaud Diane and hope that she will continue to mentor me, as I continue in her footsteps. Thank you Diane.
I look forward to working with many of you again and some for the first time. Although the Association has made many improvements in the last thirty-five years and even ten years, I would like to strive to keep us moving forward. Our Association’s mandate in March, 1978 was “to bring together Planning Technicians throughout Canada”. I would like to make this mandate my goal for the upcoming year. The Association is not only for members of this province, but for every province across Canada to enjoy and utilize.
We are not only strong in membership, but also mind and spirit. We will move forward and we will advance. I promise you.
Regards,
George T. Zajac, CPT, MCIP, RPP
Executive Director
