All,
Registration for our Affordable Housing Webinar on Friday, August 7th, 2020 is now open.
Speakers
Graham Cubitt, BA
Director of Projects & Development, Indwell
Graham Cubitt is the Director of Projects & Development at Indwell, a Hamilton-based Christian charity that creates affordable housing communities that support people seeking health, wellness, and belonging. Graham has overseen development of housing for over 600 households in southern Ontario, with another 1,000 apartments in construction and various planning phases. Indwell’s approach to affordable housing focuses on creating vibrant, livable communities – often through adaptive-reuse of derelict buildings, or by new construction.
Indwell has adopted Passive House design strategies for all projects since 2016, becoming a Canadian leader in demonstrating the economic and environmental benefits of energy-efficient and accessible buildings. Graham is actively helping communities to realize that high-value cost-effective and sustainable affordable housing with supports is possible when people work together for shared long-term benefits.
When not working on affordable housing, Graham and his wife Emma, a Principal at Invizij Architects, have helped lead various community ventures including founding The Mustard Seed Co-op, Hamilton’s community-owned grocery store, and were honoured as Hamilton’s Environmentalists of the Year in 2017. Their dream is to help realize a world where everyone can flourish.
